On October 1, 2019 the Administrative offices of Siuslaw Valley Fire and Rescue and Western Lane Ambulance District officially combined to form Western Lane Fire and EMS Authority. This step was taken to formalize the close working relationship already in place between the two organizations. On July 1, 2022 all Firefighters and EMS providers joined the Administrative Staff working under the Authority. Our citizens will not notice any changes in how we respond or who responds to your emergency.
